Hdc three together in the same stitch

Learn how to half double crochet three together (hdc3tog) in the same stitch. While sometimes hdc3tog is used for decreases and worked over three stitches, if you make an hdc3tog in the same stitch, it creates a lovely textured stitch that pops out of the front of your work.
In some patterns, it is called a Puff stitch. (Puff stitches can vary between patterns).

In the same way you can crochet half double crochet four (or more) together in the same stitch.
