Hi! Thanks for the pattern! I’m confused about row 26. What does c6H mean? Thanks so much
сбн is sc (single crochet)
With the arms on row 6 it states 2sc then decrease and repeat that twice. But it doesn’t add up, only doing it twice doesn’t get you to the end of the row.
Sorry! R 6 should be: (2 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [9]
I am having trouble with the head. Can you explain the first two rows. I am not sure how you get 18 stiches.
I’m working on the head. Ch9, make an oval. If I connect to make an oval. How do I chains on my hook?
Shannon, don’t connect the chain, work on both sides of the chain. Then you will get an oval.
Love the hippos!!
I am struggling seeing the head on. Any tips?
How do you do the tassel part for the tail?
Make a knot at the end of the chain and separate yarn strands. It is better to crochet the chain for the tail in two threads.
What are the rows and spacing for placement of the ears?
Thank you for the pattern, the hippo is adorable.
Thanks so much for this pattern. Can you give a bit more information on where the ears should be placed? Thanks
Thank you so much for sharing this pattern. Going to look on for you on FB so I share my finished hippo babies. Thanks again. It’s a wonderful pattern
