Crochet plush bunny in dress free pattern

Craft your own crochet plush bunny wearing a dress and a bow on her head. This plush bunny amigurumi is made with a chenille yarn and is very soft. The head and body, arms and legs are made with the same crochet pattern, like the amigurumi plush cat. The finished bunny amigurumi is approximately 15 cm (6″) without ears.

You will need:

• Himalaya Dolphin Baby yarn (100% polyester, 100 g/120 m) or Wolans Bunny Baby (100% micropolyester, 100 g/120 m)
• Yarn for design of the face:
  • YarnArt Jeans (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m): white, black colors
  • YarnArt Iris (100% cotton, 20 g/138 m): black color
• 3.5 mm crochet hook
• 10-12 mm safety eyes
• 7х9 mm plastic nose
• Tapestry needle
• Sewing pins
• Scissors
• Fiberfill

Abbreviations:
R – row
ch – chain
st – stitch
sl st – slip stitch
sc – single crochet
tr – treble crochet
inc – increase (2 single crochet in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 single crochet together)
BLO – back loop only
FLO – front loop only
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times

Legs (make 2)
Start with white color:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (3 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [15]
R 4: 15 sc
R 5: 6 dec, 3 sc [9]
Change to main color:
R 6-10: 9 sc (5 rows)
Stuff with fiberfill.
Fold the top opening flat and 4 sc through both sides.
Fasten off.

Arms (make 2)
Start with white color:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
R 3-4: 9 sc (2 rows)
Change to dress color:
R 5: (1 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [6]
R 6-8: 6 sc (3 rows)
Stuff with fiberfill.
Fold the top opening flat and 3 sc through both sides.
Fasten off.

If you crochet a bunny in a dress, you don’t have to crochet the tail.

Tail
With main color:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
R 3: (1 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [6]
Fold the top opening flat and 3 sc through both sides.
Fasten off.

Ears (make 2)

With white color:
Make 8 ch. Make an oval, starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: 6 sc, 3 sc in last stitch, turn: 5 sc, inc [16]
Fasten off.

With main color:
Make 8 ch. Make an oval, starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: 6 sc, 3 sc in last stitch, turn: 5 sc, inc [16]
Do not cut the yarn.

Put 2 pieces together wrong sides together. Working through the double thickness of both pieces, make: 2 inc, 5 sc, 3 inc, 5 sc, inc, sl st [21]
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Fold the ear in half down the center and sew the edges with 2 stitches together.

Head and body (one piece)
Stuff as you go.

Body
Start with main color:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 5: 24 sc
In the next row we will crochet the legs and tail into the body.

Change to dress color:
R 7: 24 sc
R 8: BLO: 24 sc

Change to main color:

Continue crocheting the head.

Head

R 2: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]

R 4-7: 30 sc (4 rows)
Insert safety eyes between R 5 and R 6 with 5 stitches between them.
R 8: (3 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
R 9: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
R 10: (1 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [12]
R 11: (dec) repeat 6 times [6]
Fasten off.

Skirt
Attach the dress color yarn to the front loop of R 8 of the body.
R 1: FLO: (inc) repeat 24 times [48]
R 2: 2 ch, (3 dc, 2 dc in one st) repeat 12 times [60]
Fasten off.

Bow
With dress color:
Make 5 ch.
In 4th chain from hook: 3 tr, 4 ch and sl st.
Then make 5 ch and 3 tr in 4th chain from hook, 4 ch and sl st.
Fasten off and leave a long tail.
Wrap the middle of the bow multiple times with remained yarn tail.

Assembly

1. Sew the ears on the head.
2. Make eye tightening (see the photo below).
3. Embroider eye whites with white YarnArt Jeans yarn, lashes with black one.
4. Embroider a vertical stripe under the nose and eyebrows with black YarnArt Jeans Iris yarn.
5. Sew the bow to the head near the one ear.
