Try a free crochet zebra pattern of mini 8 cm (3.1″) amigurumi zebra stuffed African animal. All parts of this amigurumi zebra toy are crocheted separately and sewn on afterwards. Arms and legs are attached with the thread joint method.

You will need:
- Vita Brilliant yarn (45% wool, 55% acrylic, 380 m/100 g) in 2 colors
- 1.5 mm crochet hook
- Plastic eyes size 3 mm
- Fabric glue
- Sewing needle, pins, scissors
- Fiberfill

Abbreviations:

Head
Start with black yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
R 4-5: 18 sc (2 rows)
Change to white yarn, do not cut the black one.
R 6: 18 sc
R 7: 7 sc, 4 inc, 7 sc [22]
R 8: 7 sc, inc, 6 sc, inc, 7 sc [24]
Change to black yarn, do not cut the white one:
R 9: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
Change to white yarn:
R 10-12: 30 sc (3 rows)
Change to black yarn:
R 13: (3 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [24]
Change to white yarn:
R 14: (2 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [18]
Stuff the head.

Secure thread, cut and weave in the ends.
Body
Start with black yarn:

Change to white yarn, do not cut the black one.

R 5: 24 sc
Change to black yarn, do not cut the white one:

Change to white yarn:
R 7: 24 sc
R 8: 6 dec, (1 sc, dec) repeat 4 times [14]
R 9: 14 sc
Change to black yarn:
R 10: 14 sc
Change to white yarn:
R 11: 14 sc
R 12: (5 sc, dec) repeat 2 times [12]
R 13: 12 sc
Stuff the body.
Leave thread for sewing.
Ears (make 2)
With white yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
R 3: (2 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [12]
R 4: 12 sc
R 5: (2 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [9]
Fold in half and sew the edges.
Leave thread for sewing.

Legs (make 2)
Start with black yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (inc) repeat 6 times [12]
R 3: BLO: 12 sc
Change to white yarn:
R 4-5: 12 sc (2 rows)
R 6: (2 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [9]
R 7-10: 9 sc (4 rows)
Stuff the leg.
Tighten the opening, secure the thread and weave in the ends.
Arms (make 2)
Start with black yarn:
R 1: 6 sc in magic ring [6]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 3 times [9]
Change to white yarn:
R 3-4: 9 sc (2 rows)
R 5: (1 sc, dec) repeat 3 times [6]
R 6-7: 6 sc (2 rows)
Stuff the arm.
Tighten the opening, secure the thread and weave in the ends.
Tail
Make 11 ch with white yarn.
R 1: from the second ch from hook work 10 sl st.
Make a black tassel on the end of the tail.

Assembly
- Sew the ears on R 11-12 of the head, with 6 sc between the ears.
- Glue eyes between 7th and 8th rows (on the edges of increases in 7th row).
- Sew the head to the body.
- Attach the arms using a thread attaching (or sew) 1 row below the seam between the head and the body.
- Attach the legs using a thread attaching (or sew) between 4th and 5th rows of the body on the sides.
- For the mane, cut yarn into pieces of the desired length. Thread 2 strands into each row of the head, starting with the row between the ears. Then thread in the middle of the head to the junction of the head with the body. Comb the mane.
- Sew on the tail between 4th and 5th rows at the back.
