Crochet your own cute capybara with an orange on his head using this free amigurumi pattern. The pattern for crocheting the capybara toy is beginner friendly and consists of basic stitches. The size of the finished capybara amigurumi depends of the yarn, hook and your crochet density.

- YarnArt Jeans yarn (55% cotton, 45% acrylic, 50 g/160 m): beige, brown and orange colors
- 2.5 mm crochet hook
- Black beads for eyes
- Sewing thread to sew on the eyes
- Needle

Abbreviations:
R – row
ch – chain
sc – single crochet
inc – increase (2 sc in one stitch)
dec – decrease (2 sc together)
[…] – number of stitches you should have at the end of the row
(…) – repeat whatever is between the brackets the given number of times
Head and body (one piece)
Stuff as you go.
Start with brown yarn:
Make 6 ch. Make an oval, starting from the 2nd ch from hook, work on both sides of the chain.
R 1: from the 2nd ch from hook: 4 sc, 3 sc in last stitch, turn: 3 sc, inc (on the opposute side of the chain [12]
R 2: (1 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [18]
Change to beige yarn:
R 3: (2 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [24]
R 4: (3 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [30]
R 5: (4 sc, inc) repeat 6 times [36]
R 6-10: 36 sc (5 rows)
R 11: 16 sc, 3 inc, 17 sc [39]
R 12-13: 39 sc (2 rows)
R 14: 33 sc, 3 dec [36]
Pay attention! The increases in R 11 ряду should be exactly in the middle of the belly, and the decreases in R 14 should be exactly in the middle of the back. So you should make some additional sc if it is necessary.
R 15-23: 36 sc (9 rows)
R 16: (4 sc, dec) repeat 6 times [30]

On the sides of the toy on the R 8 we make eye tightening and sew on the black beads.
Legs (make 4)
With brown yarn:

Do not stuff.
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the legs to the bottom of the toy so that the capybara can stand.
Ears (make 2)
With brown yarn:

Sew the ears on the top of the head after the row in which the decreases made.
Orange
With orange yarn:

Stuff with fiberfill.

Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Sew the orange on the top of the head in front of the ears.
